Course description

The IECB ISO 9001 Lead Auditor training course provides you with the necessary expertise to execute quality management system (QMS) audits using broadly acknowledged audit principles, methodologies, and practices. The training amalgamates the standards of ISO/IEC 17021-1, the advisories of ISO 19011, along with other recommended auditing practices into a holistic approach, facilitating the successful planning, implementation, and closure of ISO 9001 compliance assessment audits.

In addition to theoretical knowledge, the course also offers practical examples, hands-on activities, and quizzes to help you master critical aspects of compliance assessment audits: interpretation of ISO 9001 standards within an audit context, auditing principles, audit method application, strategies for evidence collection and verification, leading an audit team, creating nonconformity reports, and crafting the final audit report.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will take an examination. If you pass, you earn the “Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor” credential. This certification affirms your professional expertise and signifies your ability to audit a QMS based on ISO 9001 standards.

Course Agenda

• Day 1:  Foundations of a quality management system (QMS)
• Day 2: ISO 19011 Audit principles and the preparation for and conducting an audit
• Day 3: Day 1 & 2 On-site audit activities
• Day 4: Closing of the Audit and the Certification exam

Assessment

• All candidates at official training courses are tested throughout their course with quizzes and exercises, in combination with a final exam held on the last day of the course.  Both elements are a part of the overall score. For this course, the final exam constitutes a 12 question essay type exam which should be completed within 180 minutes. A passing score is achieved at 70%.
